Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to the website and services operated by Julia Maria Borner, Individual Entrepreneur, trading as Saddle Stories (“Saddle Stories”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
By using our website, submitting an enquiry, making a booking, or purchasing any experience through Saddle Stories, you agree to these Terms.

2. About Saddle Stories
Saddle Stories is a curated equestrian travel and experience brand offering selected horseback riding experiences, equestrian retreats, ranch stays, riding holidays, wellness experiences, luxury stays, and related services.
Some services may be operated by independent third-party Providers. Where this is the case, the Provider is responsible for delivering the experience safely, legally, and professionally.
3. Bookings
A booking is confirmed only when payment has been received and written confirmation has been issued by Saddle Stories.
You are responsible for ensuring that all booking details are correct, including names, dates, group size, riding level, height, weight, health information, travel details, and contact information.
We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or amend a booking where the service is unavailable, unsuitable, incorrectly priced, affected by safety concerns, animal welfare concerns, Provider issues, or circumstances outside our control.
4. Prices & Payment
Prices are displayed in Euros and may include or exclude taxes, fees, transport, meals, accommodation, equipment, gratuities, or extras depending on the specific experience description.
Payment terms will be shown at checkout, invoice, or booking confirmation.
Prices may change until a booking is confirmed.
5. Client Responsibilities
You agree to arrive on time, follow all safety instructions, comply with Provider rules, respect local customs, and behave appropriately toward staff, horses, animals, venues, other guests, and the environment.
We and/or the Provider may refuse participation without refund if a client is late, intoxicated, abusive, unsafe, medically unfit, unsuitable for the riding level booked, exceeds stated weight or health limits, provides inaccurate information, or fails to comply with safety or conduct requirements.
6. Health, Safety, Riding Level & Suitability
Horseback riding and equestrian environments involve inherent risks. Horses are living animals and may act unpredictably.
You are responsible for checking whether an experience is suitable for you and for notifying us in advance of relevant allergies, disabilities, pregnancy, injuries, medical conditions, dietary requirements, accessibility needs, riding experience, height, and weight where requested.
7. Third-Party Providers
For journeys booked through Saddle Stories, your seller and contracting party is Julia Maria Borner, Individual Entrepreneur registered in Georgia, trading as Saddle Stories. Saddle Stories issues the invoice and receives payment.
The local Provider carries out the journey and delivers the on-site activities and services included in your booking. Using a local Provider does not change the identity of your contracting party.
8. Changes & Cancellations by Us or the Provider
We may need to change or cancel an experience due to weather, safety concerns, animal welfare, Provider availability, operational issues, minimum group requirements, local restrictions, force majeure, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where a significant change or cancellation occurs, we will offer one or more of the following where available: a new date, alternative experience, credit, or refund, depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
9. Cancellations by Clients
Client cancellation rules are set out in our Cancellation & Refund Policy and/or the specific booking confirmation.
Certain experiences, custom bookings, private bookings, retreats, accommodation, seasonal experiences, or limited-capacity experiences may be non-refundable or subject to stricter cancellation terms.
10. Travel Arrangements
Unless expressly stated in writing, Saddle Stories does not provide flights, visas, passports, travel insurance, or full travel planning.
You are responsible for your own travel documents, entry requirements, insurance, transport to the meeting point, and personal expenses.
Depending on the combination of services purchased, package travel or linked travel arrangement rules may apply.
11. Insurance
We strongly recommend that all clients hold appropriate travel insurance covering cancellation, illness, injury, personal belongings, travel disruption, outdoor activities, horseback riding, equestrian activities, and medical expenses.
12. Content & Intellectual Property
All website content, copy, branding, design, imagery, videos, logos, guides, itineraries, and materials are owned by or licensed to Julia Maria Borner, Individual Entrepreneur, trading as Saddle Stories unless otherwise stated.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or commercially use our content without written permission.
13. Photos, Videos & Social Media
By tagging Saddle Stories, sending us content, or giving us permission to share your content, you grant Saddle Stories a non-exclusive right to repost, edit, publish, and share that content across our marketing channels.
We will not intentionally use identifiable client imagery in paid advertising without appropriate permission where required.
14. Website Accuracy
We aim to keep all information accurate and updated, but availability, prices, descriptions, locations, schedules, inclusions, riding requirements, restrictions, and Provider details may change.
Images may be illustrative and may include Provider images, Saddle Stories content, client-approved content, licensed imagery, or representative stock photography where suitable Provider imagery is unavailable.
15. Experience & Equestrian Travel Disclaimer
Saddle Stories curates premium horseback riding experiences, equestrian retreats, ranch stays, luxury stays, wellness experiences, and related activities.
Some services are delivered by independent third-party Providers.
We carefully select Providers based on brand fit, quality, safety standards, and available information, but we do not control every aspect of third-party operations, including horse behaviour, animal welfare management, weather, terrain, local conditions, venue management, staff conduct, transport, or operational changes.
Horseback riding involves inherent risks. Horses are living animals and may act unpredictably, even when well trained and professionally managed.
Clients are responsible for reviewing all booking details, riding-level requirements, health restrictions, weight limits, clothing requirements, insurance needs, travel documents, and cancellation terms before booking.
16. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Julia Maria Borner, Individual Entrepreneur, trading as Saddle Stories, is not liable for indirect losses, loss of enjoyment, missed travel connections, personal expenses, third-party actions, weather, force majeure events, client misconduct, inaccurate riding ability information, horse behaviour, animal behaviour, or failure to follow instructions.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia, unless mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
Any disputes shall be handled by the courts of Georgia, unless applicable law gives the client the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.

Digital downloads: product and use terms

Your purchase and our role
Our digital guides, journals and planners are created and supported by Julia Maria Borner, Individual Entrepreneur, trading as Saddle Stories, Apartment N4, Building 80, Gldani estate, micro/district III, Tbilisi, 0167, Georgia. When you purchase a digital product through Payhip, your digital-content purchase contract is with Payhip Limited under the Payhip End User Licence presented at checkout. These product details explain what is included and its permitted use; they do not replace the applicable checkout terms or your statutory rights. The journey-booking provisions elsewhere on this website apply to travel arrangements, not to a separate digital-content purchase.
What is included
The Rider’s Journal costs €4.90, including applicable tax, for two PDF editions of the same English-language journal: one printable edition and one fillable edition. Each has 20 A4 pages, including eight riding logs and pages for intentions, reflection, memories and notes. The two editions contain the same journal in different formats. No physical item is shipped, and our digital products have no subscription or recurring charge.
The First Ride Toolkit costs €5.90, including applicable tax, for one English-language, 20-page A4 printable PDF for adult beginners. It includes guidance for choosing a riding school and preparing for a first lesson, plus five worksheets. It is a printable edition without interactive form fields. The worksheets are also available separately as free resources in the Library.
The Riding Escape Planner costs €4.90, including applicable tax, for the printable and fillable editions of the same English-language, 18-page planner together. It includes space for trip questions, budget, payments, travel details and packing. Its fillable text fields do not calculate totals automatically.
A Year in the Saddle costs €4.90, including applicable tax, for one English-language, 23-page printable PDF. It is an undated riding calendar and planner with twelve monthly calendars, weekly plans, costs, a riding bucket list and a year-end reflection. It has no interactive form fields.
Payment and downloads
The checkout displays the total price before you place your order and offers the available payment methods. After successful payment, Payhip makes the PDFs included in your purchase available on the download page and sends a receipt containing your download link to the email address you entered. Please use an address you can access and save your own copies of the files.
A download limit of five attempts is currently set in Payhip. If you reach the limit or have difficulty accessing a file, contact us with your order details so we can help restore access. The limit does not restrict how often you can read, complete or print your saved files for personal use.
Using your digital files
You may save the purchased PDFs on your devices and print their pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. Please do not share, redistribute, resell or publish the blank files or templates, or make them available for others to download. The product designs and text are licensed for use rather than transferred into your ownership. Your own entries remain yours, and these terms do not restrict uses permitted by applicable law.
Where a product includes a fillable edition, it requires a PDF reader that supports form fields and saving entered text; a basic file preview may not support all of these features. Keep entries within the visible writing spaces and save a copy with your notes. Printable editions are designed for printing and writing by hand. Internet access is needed to purchase and download the PDFs.
Immediate delivery and cancellation
Checkout requires your express agreement to immediate delivery during any applicable withdrawal period and your acknowledgement that you lose the right of withdrawal once supply begins. This acknowledgement is recorded with your order and confirmed in the receipt.
Where EU consumer withdrawal rules apply, the usual withdrawal period for digital content is 14 days from conclusion of the contract. The right is lost when supply begins only where the legally required prior consent, acknowledgement and confirmation have been provided. A general agreement to terms or the digital nature of the product does not, by itself, remove a statutory right.
If a right of withdrawal remains and you wish to exercise it, send a clear statement identifying your order to hello@saddle-stories.co or follow the withdrawal instructions supplied with your Payhip purchase. Mandatory protections that apply in your country remain unaffected.
Problems with your purchase
If a file is missing, damaged or does not match its description, contact us with the email address used at checkout and your order details so we can help resolve the issue. These terms do not remove your statutory remedies for digital content that is not supplied, is faulty or is not as described. Immediate delivery does not waive those rights.
