This policy describes cookies, local browser storage and optional external content used by Saddle Stories as at 11 October 2026. The responsible business is Julia Maria Borner, Individual Entrepreneur, trading as Saddle Stories, Apartment N4, Building 80, Gldani estate, micro/district III, Tbilisi, 0167, Georgia. What these technologies do

Cookies are small pieces of information a service stores in your browser. Local storage is another way to keep information on your device. A request to an external service can also disclose connection information, such as an IP address, even when no cookie is stored.

Website delivery and security

Webflow hosts this website and provides infrastructure for delivering pages, photographs and documents. Its hosting and security systems process technical connection information and may use strictly necessary technologies for delivery, security or forms. See Webflow’s Privacy Policy. Digital journal purchases take place on Payhip’s separate checkout, with payment handled by PayPal; their sites apply their own privacy and cookie information. Selecting our ordinary purchase link does not, by itself, install an embedded Payhip checkout on this website.

Saved stories

When you choose “Save story”, the favourites feature stores article identifiers in local storage using saddle-stories-saved-articles-v1. This enables your saved list on that browser; this feature does not send the list to us or use it for advertising. It remains until you remove the saved stories or clear this website’s browser data. Blocking local storage may prevent favourites from being remembered.

Instagram content through Elfsight

The homepage feed stays unloaded until you allow “Instagram posts · Elfsight” in our privacy controls or use “Allow Instagram posts” at the feed. Rejecting this category avoids loading the feed’s external code and content. If you allow it, your browser connects to Elfsight and the services used to deliver Instagram posts, which receive technical information such as your IP address and may use cookies or similar technologies.

Elfsight identifies elfsight_viewed_recently as a cookie used to avoid counting repeated widget views. Its Privacy Policy explains this and the technical information it processes. It also distinguishes cookies used for visitors from additional cookies used by signed-in Elfsight account owners. Instagram applies its own privacy information when you load or open its content.

Your Instagram choice is remembered in this browser for up to 180 days, allowing the feed to appear automatically on later visits. You can disable it through “Privacy preferences” in the footer and save your changes; the page reloads if the feed has already loaded. Disabling the feed cannot undo information already sent or delete third-party cookies. You can use the rest of the website without enabling it.

Newsletter and external links

Our newsletter form submits your details to Mailchimp. Visiting a Mailchimp subscription or confirmation page is governed by its own privacy and cookie information. WhatsApp and social-profile links open external services when you select them. Our Privacy Policy explains these services and your contact choices.

Analytics and advertising

Google Analytics and Meta Pixel have separate optional categories and stay unloaded until you allow Analytics or Marketing respectively. Permission for the Instagram feed does not activate either measurement tool. If you allow Marketing, Meta Pixel can set a first-party _fbp cookie to distinguish browsers for advertising measurement; Meta describes a typical lifetime of three months, subject to browser limits and settings. Meta receives website activity, page addresses, technical connection information and cookie identifiers and may associate activity with a Meta account. Automatic advanced matching, automatic events and additional AI page and product details are disabled. Mailchimp’s connected-site tracking remains disabled.

Cookies used by optional analytics and marketing

If you allow Analytics, Google Analytics 4 can set first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by the relevant container identifier, which help distinguish visitors and maintain session information. Google lists a default expiry of two years, although browser limits and configured settings can shorten it; see Google’s explanation of Analytics cookies. These cookies are separate from our 180-day privacy-preference record. Declining Analytics keeps our Google analytics code unloaded.

Our custom click measurements use fixed labels for contact methods, the two featured journeys and the Rider’s Journal checkout. We do not send names, contact details, messages or other form contents as event parameters, and a click is not recorded as a completed booking, sale or subscription. Further information is in our Privacy Policy.

Managing stored information

Use “Privacy preferences” in the footer to change your choices at any time, including rejecting all optional services. When necessary, saving a withdrawal reloads the page to stop code already loaded; known first-party analytics and marketing cookies are removed where accessible, but third-party cookies and information already transmitted cannot be erased by this control. Your browser also lets you inspect, block and delete cookies and site data. Clearing site data removes both privacy choices and saved-story preferences. Private browsing and device settings can affect how long information is retained.

Questions about this policy or your information can be sent to hello@saddle-stories.co. We update this policy when the website’s use of these technologies changes.
